Madison- The horror movie "Slender Man" is now in theaters with select screenings nationwide, but the family of the victim appreciates that some theaters around Milwaukee and Waukesha counties won’t be showing the film.
Leutner family spokesman Steve Lyons told WISN 12 News the movie release brings back bad memories.
"We don't plan to see the movie. We haven't paid much attention to the movie," Lyons said.
He said the Leutner family isn't calling for a boycott of the film, instead they're watching Payton thrive.
"With every tragedy, there's good to be found, and I think that's where this family is focused on," Lyons said.
